Dual powered 24 VAC or (2AA) Alkaline Batteries (included). Universally compatible with most 24V heating and A/C systems, 1-heat / 1-cool: gas, oil, or electric systems (with no AUX/EMERG heat), 2-wire hydronic systems (hot water baseboard and radiator), gas millivolt heaters (wall heaters / furnaces and gas fireplaces). Not compatible with multi-stage heating and AC systems, multi-stage heat pumps, 3-wire hydronic zone valve systems, 120/240V line voltage systems (without transformer).
